Pyrography is not necessarily an expensive hobby : even for about € 100 the basic equipment, with which the first steps are made, can be obtained.

In this pages we will show and explain you the basics about pyrography, and give you some information about the equipment needed to try it by yourself.

The use of the flat stylus

   
 

 

You need the flat stylus (nr 24) to colour entire surfaces. Changing the temperature of the stylus will change the colour.
 

  Also here a sliding movement in the air, which starts before the stylus touches the wood, is necessary, to obtain the desired colour. It is the only way to obtain smooth coloured surfaces, withour dark spots where the stylus touches the wood.
