ON HARD PAPER
In 2008, rather by coincidence, François
PEETERS discovered in an old book about
pyrography that this could olso be done on hard
paper or cardboard.
Curious, he started some experiments, using
cardboard for picture frames, and discovered
that really nice results could be obtained.
Specially on white cardboard, where by changing
the temperature of the stylus, all colours
between yellow and black, over light- and
darkbrown could be obtained.
Hereafter some examples of those first
experiments. It is already sure that other
works will follow !

The enlargements show clearly how details can
be reproduced very accurately. The brown
colours give a real antique look to the final
work.
Hereafter you can see in detail some works
related to this topic. Click on one of the

Often more than one view is avaiable, a
detail, or sometimes the picture that was used
as a model for the work.
